The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is turning up the heat in poll-bound Karnataka with Uttar Pradesh (UP) Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath to address 34 rallies in the state in just six days.

Karnataka is turning into a must-win election for both the BJP and the Congress, and the parties are leaving no stone unturned to win the contest. Elections are to be held in the state on 12 May with Prime Minister (PM) Modi to address 15 rallies in the state too before election day. The results will be announced on 15 May.

Yogi Adityanath will be addressing rallies on 3 and 4 May and then 7 to 10 May as reported by Amar Ujala. Yogi’s previous rallies in the state drew huge crowds and he has quickly emerged as a star campaigner for the party post the landslide BJP victory in UP.

Meanwhile, the external affairs ministry has also given its nod to Yogi’s visit to China post Karnataka elections. External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman are also in China currently to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.

Yogi will be visiting China to strengthen business relations with Chinese industry and to attract Chinese investments to the state. This will be Yogi’s third foreign trip as the UP CM.
