Yogi Govt Establishes Oxygen Monitoring System To Track Movement Of Medical Oxygen Via GPS

An oxygen monitoring system has been established at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh in the wake of the rising Covid-19 infections in the state.
The state's additional chief secretary of the home department, Awanish K Awasthi, revealed that the movement of oxygen tankers would be monitored and viewed on a map daily through this system.
"Software's dashboard will analyze and inform if the tanker is getting delayed-either in filling or in transportation," the senior bureaucrat was quoted in an ANI report.
The state government is also set to create an application that will be installed in the phone of the driver. This will act as GPS to live-track the movement of the tankers.
Several states are battling with shortage of liquid medical oxygen and this initative aims to instil efficiency into the timely transportation of the same.
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led government has meanwhile lodged in a request for the requisitioning of cargo aircraft from the Indian Air Force (IAF). The administration is expecting to receive two aircraft very soon in order to utilise their help for the swift passage of empty tankers.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh reported a massive 13,843 new Covid-19 cases and around 196 deaths due to the same on Saturday morning.
