Both Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha have called for a strong response from security forces after the Srinagar market attack.

A grenade attack at a Sunday (3 November) market in Srinagar by terrorists left at least a dozen people injured. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Abdullah acknowledged that the last few days have been dominated by headlines of attacks and encounters in parts of the valley and called the news of a grenade attack 'deeply disturbing.'

Similarly, Sinha instructed the top police and security officials to deliver a strong response to the terrorists. He spoke with DGP Nalin Prabhat and senior security officials for future action.

"You have full freedom to crush terror outfits and leave no stone unturned to complete this mission," Sinha said directing them to take decisive action against the terrorists and their networks.
