The 1993 Mumbai bomb blast convict Ibrahim Moosa was seen campaigning for Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Mumbai North West candidate Amol Kiritkar.

Notably, Shiv Sena Bhavan was also one of the spots where the blast happened. Four people were killed and 50 were injured near Sena Bhavan.

Moosa is accused of carrying weapons to actor Sanjay Dutt's house prior to the serial bombings that killed 257 people and injured more than 700 in January 1993.

The video, which surfaced on Thursday (9 May), is said to be from Wednesday evening, when Moosa campaigned for Kiritkar in Andheri West, as per BJP MLA Ameet Satam.

Amol Kiritkar is the son of incumbent MP (now in Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena) Gajanan Kiritkar. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena has fielded Ravindra Waikar against him.

Ravindra Waikar is an MLA from Jogeshwari East, an Assembly segment under the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency, since 2009 by winning three consecutive times.

Notably, Amol also is facing allegations of 'Khichdi scam' and was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in March for financial irregularities in the distribution of Khichdi to migrant workers during Covid.
