"25,000 Lesser Votes In Each Assembly": Akhilesh Yadav Schools BJP On Electoral Math, Urges Acceptance Of UPPSC Protesters' Demands

Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav has been attacking the Yogi Adityanath government over the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) protests and supporting the aspirants.

In a post on X on Thursday (14 November), Yadav explained the electoral math to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and how the ongoing protests can damage the ruling party's electoral prospects.

The aspirants are protesting their demand to conduct Review Officer (RO)-Assistant Review Officer (ARO) and Provincial Civil Service (PCS) prelim exams in a single shift on a single day.

"If we divide this 'great number' by about 400 assembly seats, then BJP will lose about 25,000 votes in every assembly seat, meaning BJP will be reduced to double digits," he added hoping that after understanding this math, the BJP will accept legitimate demands of the protesting youth.

In another post, Yadav alleged that the police had taken away the crutches of a protesting disabled student and highlighted how cruel and insensitive the BJP and its government are and accused it of 'sitting on Himalaya of arrogance.'
