The Rajasthan government has approved agricultural input subsidies for 7.63 lakh farmers whose Kharif crops were damaged by excessive rainfall this year, officials announced on Friday (31 November).
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma led the decision as per a PTI report, which aims to provide help to farmers afflicted by natural disasters.
Authorities identified crops suffering more than 33 per cent losses due to heavy rain across 43 tehsils in six districts. The disaster-affected areas cover 3,777 villages, based on girdawari.
In these 3,777 villages, around 7.63 lakh farmers will receive agricultural input subsidy from the State Disaster Relief Fund, the government confirmed.
Officials added that crop loss assessments from other districts are ongoing. Once the reports are finalised, the government will approve corresponding relief packages.
