A Symbol For The National Capital: Delhi To Get Its First Official Logo On 1 November

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Saturday (25 October) that her government will unveil Delhi’s first-ever official logo on 1 November, observed as Delhi Day (Foundation Day), reported The Indian Express.
This will be the city's first official logo, designed to establish the Capital city's distinct identity as a new emblem, Gupta said, adding that the logo will reflect Delhi's modern, transparent, and people-oriented governance, as well as symbolise the city's cultural and development harmony.
To oversee the selection process, Gupta formed a special committee, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) stated.
On Saturday, she met with committee members, ministers Pravesh Sahib Singh and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Chief Secretary Rajeev Verma, and other senior officials to review the shortlisted designs.
The CMO said the committee examined the submissions, chosen to capture Delhi’s unique identity, glorious history, culture, development, and the aspirations of its people.
Gupta highlighted that while most states already have official symbols representing their identity, Delhi has never had one.
She noted that her government initiated work on a logo immediately upon assuming office and organised a competition on the mygov.in portal, which attracted over 1,800 entries from across the country.
