AAP Reshuffles Leadership After Delhi Setback: Saurabh Bhardwaj Named Delhi Unit Chief, Manish Sisodia Appointed Punjab In-Charge

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced a major leadership reshuffle on Friday (21 March), assigning new roles to key leaders in a strategic reorganisation following its electoral setback in Delhi, reported The Economic Times.

After a Parliamentary Affairs Committee meeting at the residence of national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, the party appointed Saurabh Bhardwaj as the new Delhi unit chief, while Mehraj Malik was named the head of AAP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit.

The party has made several crucial appointments across different states with Saurabh Bhardwaj as the Delhi unit chief, Manish Sisodia as the in-charge for Punjab, and Gopal Rai as the in-charge for Gujarat .

Further, Pankaj Gupta has been assigned the role of Goa party in-charge while Sandeep Pathak wil be party in-charge for Chattisgarh.

Meanwhile, Manish Sisodia, now leading the Punjab unit, will focus on organisational work and governance, particularly in health and education reforms.

He is expected to play a significant role in shaping the “Punjab Model” in the coming months.
