ACME Solar Commissions First 28 MW Phase Of Its 100 MW Wind Project In Gujarat

Renewable energy firm ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned the first 28 MW phase of its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat, marking a step forward in its clean energy portfolio.

With this addition, the company’s operational capacity has risen from 2,890 MW to 2,918 MW, the firm announced in a statement on Saturday (18 October).

The ACME Eco Clean wind project has been financed by the Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and executed through in-house EPC.

The electricity generated is pooled at a 33/220 kV pooling station before being transmitted to the Shapar substation via a dedicated 220 kV transmission line.

Power generated will be supplied under a 25 year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).

"The current commissioning of 28 MW is part of the 100 MW ACME Eco Clean wind project to be fully commissioned in phases. With this milestone, the Company's total operational capacity has increased from 2,890 MW to 2,918 MW. Strategically located in one of India’s highest wind resource. regions, it is poised to be an important contribution to India’s renewable energy goals," the company said in the statement.
