Aero India 2025: Andhra Pradesh Signs Rs 2,458 Crore MoUs With Aerospace And Defence Firms

The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 2,458.84 crore with four leading aerospace and defence companies at Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru, reported The Hindu.
The agreements, signed on Monday (10 February), are expected to generate over 8,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities in the state.
The key companies involved in these strategic partnerships include:
Sagar Defence Engineering Private Limited – A leader in maritime defence and unmanned surface vehicle technologies.
HFCL – A key defence manufacturing firm.
A leading space technology firm (name undisclosed) – Specialising in critical components for the space sector.
The MoUs were signed in the presence of Industries and Commerce Minister T G Bharath, along with senior government officials, including N Yuvaraj, Secretary to Government, Industries & Commerce and Food Processing Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Bharath emphasised that Andhra Pradesh is emerging as a premier hub for aerospace and defence manufacturing.
He attributed this to the state’s investor-friendly policies, world-class infrastructure, and strategic location.
