In a recent development, another video of Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar has emerged capturing his appeal to voters of an apartment complex in Bengaluru, where he can be seen asking residents to vote for his brother, in exchange for Cauvery water.
"Your Major Problem is that you want a CA site and Number two is Cauvery water. If I get this done, what are you going to give me?" Shivakumar could be heard saying in the video.
Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar had refuted allegations claiming that he offered water supply in exchange for votes for his brother DK Suresh, who is seeking a third term from Bengaluru Rural.
Addressing reporters at his Sadashivanagar residence in Bengaluru on Tuesday (16 April), Shivakumar had dismissed the accusations made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (Secular) [JD(S)], labelling them as diversion tactics.
DK Shivakumar goes on to say that there is a special water supply being given to water-scarce areas and only he knows how much water is being supplied to these areas.
He said, “Everyone must vote consciously."
“Change” is needed in the country and all votes should be for a pro-people government," he added.
