Amit Shah Distributes Appointment Letters To Over 60,200 Newly Recruited UP Police Constables

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday (15 June) distributed appointment letters to 60,244 newly recruited constables of the Uttar Pradesh Police in Lucknow.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also attended the event, which marks a major step in bolstering the state’s law enforcement.
The UP Police recruitment and promotion board (UPPRPB) recruited 60,244 constables, including 12,048 women, from over 48 lakh applications.
After receiving their letters, the recruits will begin formal police training before their induction into the Uttar Pradesh Police Force, reported The Times Of India.
Speaking on the occasion, Shah said that today is the most auspicious day for these 60,244 youth as they are going to become part of the police force of the country’s largest state.
But then came a turning point—Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister, and law and order was reestablished in the state, he added.
He said that after the formation of the Yogi government, significant changes took place in the state.
"Today, not a single youth had to pay a rupee—no bribe, no slip, no recommendation. All of you have been selected purely on the basis of merit," he added.
