Army Officer Killed In Encounter With Terrorists In J&K's Doda— All About It

An Army officer was killed in action after an encounter with a group of four terrorists in the Assar region of Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district.
Additionally, a civilian sustained injuries during the incident, NDTV reported.
Security forces have launched an operation to capture the terrorists, with reports indicating that one terrorist was injured during the encounter.
The security forces have recovered a US-made M4 assault rifle and three rucksacks containing various equipment and supplies from the encounter site.
The Indian Army and the J&K police had launched a joint operation in Akar Forest near Patnitop based on specific intelligence inputs.
There was a brief exchange of fire last night and the operation resumed this morning.
The meeting included key officials, including Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
Earlier this month, the government announced the implementation of a new security framework for J&K in response to the rising incidents of terrorist attacks targeting civilians, military personnel, and camps.
This includes a recent encounter in Anantnag district on Sunday, where two soldiers lost their lives in the line of duty.
Two civilians were also injured in that gun battle, during which an Army patrol conducting a routine anti-terror operation in the forests of Kokernag came under attack. It was in the same area in September last year that terrorists killed a Commanding Officer, a Major, and a Deputy Superintendent of Police.
