Crowd at Ram Mandir
As a large number of devotees queued up to visit the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir on Tuesday (23 January), a day after pran-pratishtha, the chief priest of the temple said that Ayodhya appears to be in 'Treta Yug' time.
"After the pran-pratishtha, garbh-grih (sanctum sanctorum) appears divine. A glimpse of 'Treta Yug' is being seen at this time. Ayodhya is filled with groups of devotees. Jai Shri Ram slogans are all over," Acharya Satyendra Das said.
"So many people are present here for darshan on the first day that not all of them will be able to have darshan today. This crowd will continue for the next few days," the chief priest of the Ram Mandir said.
He highlighted that especially, there are groups of 4000 saints, who have come from temples across Bharat, hence the crowd is too much and the city of Ayodhya is Ram-may (lost in Ram), which is worth watching.
A devotee from Maharashtra's Pune, with his family and one-year-old daughter, can be seen as saying, "We are feeling great. We are not concerned about the huge crowd, we just wish to see Ramlalla."
Devotees began gathering at the temple in large numbers as early as 3 am even though Ayodhya was engulfed in a dense fog.
The pran-pratishtha rituals of Ramlalla were carried out yesterday with PM Modi as the mukhya (chief) yajmaan of the ceremony.
