The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in its manifesto has detailed ambitious plans to transform India into a global manufacturing powerhouse under the possible third term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government.

The manifesto promises expansion across various section various manufacturing sectors, aiming to create numerous job opportunities and boost economic growth.

  • Global Manufacturing Hub: The manifesto pledges to continue the success of the "Make in India" initiative, enhancing sectors like electronics, defense, and automobiles, with a vision to establish India as a global manufacturing hub.

  • Product Nation: Leveraging India's capabilities in engineering and design, the BJP plans to combine these with manufacturing to transform India into a significant product development and manufacturing nation.

  • Industrial Infrastructure: According to the manifesto, the BJP will develop industrial cities along various corridors to promote industrialisation and inclusive growth in underdeveloped regions, based on the principles of PM-Gatishakti.

  • Electric Vehicles and Textiles: The BJP aims to support the automobile industry's shift to electric vehicles, including developing a national EV charger infrastructure. It also plans to bolster the traditional textile industry by investing in research and modernising infrastructure.
