BJP Single Largest Party, Congress Falls Short Of Century: Final Lok Sabha Seat Tally - NDA Vs INDI Alliance

Despite big setbacks in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, the BJP has emerged as the single largest party in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, winning 240 seats at the end of counting, according to the Election Commission.

Meanwhile, the Congress has significantly increased its 2019 tally of 52 seats in this Lok Sabha election but failed to cross the 100-seat mark, emerging victorious in 99 constituencies.

The Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party, which made major gains in Uttar Pradesh, has emerged as the third-largest party with 37 seats.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress has scored victories on 29 seats while INDI Alliance partner DMK has won 22 seats in Tamil Nadu.

NDA ally Telugu Desam Party (TDP) won 16 seats, becoming the second largest party in the alliance.

JDU, another NDA constituent party, has registered wins in 12 seats.


NDA partners Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Chirag Paswan-led LJP(Ram Vilas) won on 7 and 5 seats, respectively.

The Y S Jagan Reddy-led YSRCP, Lalu Yadav's RJD, and CPIM won four seats each.

NDA ally Janata Dal (Secular) and Janasena Party won two seats each.

In total, the NDA alliance won 292 seats while the INDI Alliance grabbed 234 seats.
