Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit India next week, ahead of the SCO summit in China, for talks with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, the First Post reported.
Wang and Doval are the special representatives of the two countries who lead talks related to the question of boundary.
Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh recently informed Parliament that India has begun talks with China to resume border trade through the Nathu La Pass in Sikkim, along with the Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and Shipki La Pass in Himachal Pradesh.
Reports also suggest a possible meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the SCO summit.
Last week, NSA Doval met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Doval said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to visit India by the end of 2025, with the dates “almost finalised now.”
He added, “We are very excited and delighted to learn about the visit of President Putin to India. I think that the dates are almost finalised now", reported the Times of India.
