A day after hitting the headlines for carrying a 'Palestine' bag to the Parliament, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was seen carrying another bag concerning Bangladesh on Tuesday (17 December).

The tote bag had Hindi written in Devnagri script which can be translated as, "Stand with Hindus and Christians of Bangladesh." Yesterday also she spoke against atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh.

"The atrocities happening in Bangladesh, against minorities and Hindus, something should be done regarding this. Talks should be held with the Bangladesh government regarding this," she had said.

However, Vadra's remarks on Bangladesh were just considered lip service while her gesture was believed to be showing solidarity with Palestine as the bag also had a watermelon symbol.

It now appears that to give the BJP a befitting reply, Vadra carried a 'Bangladesh' bag to the Parliament today. A few other Opposition leaders accompanied Vadra by carrying a similar 'Bangladesh' bag.

The Congress members of Parliament (MP) also protested on the Parliament premises demanding the Modi government to act against the atrocities being faced by minorities in Bangladesh.

They raised slogans like, "We want justice," "Justice in Bangladesh," "Centre government give answer," and "Prime Minister give answer" and also carried placards demanding justice for minorities in Bangladesh.
