To enhance last-mile connectivity, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has launched a shuttle service connecting the Ghaziabad RRTS station with Shaheed Sthal metro station, Financial Express reported.

NCRTC, in an official statement, emphasised that the initiative aligns with its continuous efforts to improve commuter convenience.

E-rickshaws will run between the two stations, which are approximately 300 meters apart, ensuring connectivity during peak travel hours.

This service will be available free of charge to the public, ensuring a seamless and comfortable transit experience.

By incorporating eco-friendly e-rickshaws, the initiative contributes to sustainable urban transport solutions.

NCRTC stated that the shuttle fleet may be increased in the future based on passenger demand.

NCRTC introduced the shuttle service to address the growing traffic and ensure passenger safety and convenience.

Further, a foot-over bridge is being constructed to link Shaheed Sthal Metro Station with Namo Bharat Station, offering safer and more convenient access upon completion.

The shuttle service will continue to operate until the foot-over bridge is completed, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for passengers.

For enhanced last-mile connectivity at Namo Bharat stations, Ghaziabad City Transport Services Limited runs electric buses on seven routes across Ghaziabad.

Commuters can also access taxi services, with select operators providing discounts for Namo Bharat Train passengers.
