In a special gesture to support the International Day of Yoga, the Delhi Metro will start operations at 4 am on 21 June 2025, across all its lines, DMRC said in a statement.

According to DMRC, this early morning initiative is aimed at helping yoga practitioners, event organisers, and enthusiasts reach venues across the city with ease.

Trains will depart from all originating stations at 30 minute intervals from 4 am until the regular timetable begins.

"Delhi Metro services will commence from 4 am from all originating stations on 21st June 2025 (Saturday) to facilitate the movement of yoga enthusiasts on the occasion of International Day of Yoga, 2025. Services will be available on all lines at an interval of 30 minutes from 4 am onwards till the commencement of passenger services as per daily timetable," DMRC said.

The International Day of Yoga, observed every year on 21 June, attracts participants from all walks of life.

Public institutions, schools, and community groups organise mass yoga demonstrations to promote health and well-being.

This year marks the eleventh anniversary of International Day of Yoga, which was officially recognised by the United Nations in 2014.
