The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has floated a tender for the design and construction of critical underground infrastructure as part of the Phase-4 extension of the Green Line from Inderlok to Indraprastha.
The works include construction of twin tunnels, underground ramps, and four metro stations at Dayabasti, Sarai Rohilla, Ajmal Khan Park, and Jhandewalan Mandir, Hindustan Times reported.
According to the tender document dated 20 May, bidders are required to submit a bid security of Rs 240 million, with a completion deadline of 42 months from the date of awarding. The final date for bid submissions is 8 July 2025.
The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had in March 2024 approved two new Phase-4 corridors: 12.3 km Green Line extension and the 8 km Lajpat Nagar to Saket G-Block route.
The Green Line extension, 11.3 km of which is underground, will have ten stations including major interchanges at Inderlok, Nabi Karim, New Delhi, Delhi Gate, and Indraprastha.
“The Inderlok-Indraprastha Line will provide enhanced connectivity to the Bahadurgarh region of Haryana… to directly reach Indraprastha, as well as various other areas of central and east Delhi,” the Centre said in March, with a projected completion date of March 2029.
The tender follows DMRC’s receipt in April of Rs 4,309.53 crore from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as part of a Rs 6,252.91 crore loan for three remaining Phase-4 corridors.
In total, Phase-4 aims to add nearly 103 km of new lines across six corridors, with three already under construction and slated for completion by mid-2026.
