'Either Pakistan Will Merge Into India Or Cease To Exist From History': Yogi Adityanath Blames Congress For Partition

Referring to the Bangladesh crisis on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day (14 August), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "The scenes of 1947 are now being seen in Bangladesh."

"1.5 crore Hindus are crying for help in Bangladesh and the world is tight-lipped. So-called secularists in India are also not uttering a single word because they fear their vote bank would drift away," he added.

"You would have seen the protests of Chittagong Hindus. Lakhs of Hindus raised their voices before the world. I would thank and greet those Hindus who showed such courage," the UP CM said.

He added that religious extremism can only be tackled with unity. He asserted that the world believes if India is safe, then the world-humanity is safe.

"They got power from Britishers at that time. They were leading India based on their colonial mentality, just like what the Britishers were doing. India paid for it," the UP CM added.

Recalling and quoting Sri Aurobindo, Adityanath said, "Pakistan is not a reality in the spiritual world. Either it will merge into India or will cease to exist from the history forever."

He blamed the Congress leadership for the tragedy of partition and questioned why 'Hindu-majority' Sindh was allowed to be merged into Pakistan.

Adityanath alleged that Congress tried to strangle democracy during the Emergency of 1975. He also accused Congress of divisive politics and creating a divide between Hindus and Sikhs.
