Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting at the central hall of the old Parliament building in New Delhi, covering a range of topics from the coalition's unity to the electoral mandate and the future vision of the government.

He emphasised the NDA's commitment to serving all sections of society, irrespective of party affiliations.

PM Modi took a swipe at Opposition INDI Alliance over its criticism of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). He praised India's democracy for its fairness and hoped that the EVM debate would not resurface for the next five years.

Here are the key highlights of PM Modi's speech:

Unity and Equality in Parliament

PM Modi emphasised the principle of 'Sabka Prayaas' within the NDA.

"For me, all the leaders of all the parties are equal in the Parliament. When we talk about Sabka Prayaas, for us everyone becomes equal whether they are from our party or not. This is the reason the NDA alliance has been strong and moved ahead in the last 30 years," he stated.

Confidence in India's Democracy

PM Modi mocked opposition's EVM criticism, and expressed confidence in India's democratic process.

"These people (Opposition) had decided to ensure that people stop believing in democracy and democratic process of India. They continuously abused EVM. I thought they would take out the funeral procession of the EVM. But by the evening of 4th June, unko taale lag gaye. EVM ne unko chup kar diya. This is the strength of India's democracy, its fairness...I hope I won't get to hear about EVM for 5 years...," he said.

Victory in 2024 Elections

PM Modi hailed NDA's victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections as a 'Mahavijay'.

He said, "I believe that if we look at the results of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, from every parameter, the world believes that this is NDA's 'Mahavijay'...An attempt was made not to accept this victory..."

NDA's Values in Victory

PM Modi praised NDA's values, highlighting humility in victory and respect for the defeated.

"We were neither defeated nor are we defeated. But our behaviour after the 4 June shows our identity that we know how to digest victory. Our values are such that we do not develop frenzy in the lap of victory and neither do we have the values of mocking the defeated. We protect the victorious and we do not have the perversion of mocking the defeated. These are our values...," he said.

Empowering Poor and Middle Class in Modi 3.0

PM Modi said that empowering poor and middle class will be his government's top priority.

Success in South India

PM Modi highlighted NDA's success in South India, particularly in Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu.

"In South India, NDA has strengthened the foundation for new politics. Look at Karnataka and Telangana, state governments were recently formed there. But people's trust broke within moments and they came out of an illusion. They accepted NDA in Karnataka and Telangana...," he said.

NDA's Corruption-Free Governance

Attacking Congress, PM Modi contrasted NDA's corruption-free governance with UPA's corruption record.

"NDA has always given a corruption-free, reform-oriented stable government to the country. Congress-led UPA changed their name but they have been known for their corruption. Even after changing their names, the country has not forgiven them, the country has rejected them...," he said.

Criticism of Congress and INDI Alliance

PM Modi said that Congress, which won 99 seats in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, could not even touch the 100-mark, and that the BJP got more seats in this election than the combined seats of Congress in last three elections.

"Even after 10 years, Congress could not touch the figure of 100 seats. If we combine the 2014, 2019 and 2024 elections, Congress did not even get as many seats as BJP got in this election. I can clearly see the people of the INDI alliance were sinking slowly earlier, now they are going to sink at a fast pace...," he said.

Criticising the Opposition parties' INDI Alliance, PM Modi said that the alliance was just for 'photo op'.

"They announced an alliance just for photo-op but kept fighting against each other in several states...Right after the elections are over, they also started saying that this election was just for Lok Sabha elections and not beyond that. I said that after 4th June, they (INDIA) will start dividing. This means they were with each other just for political gain...," he said.

Warning Against False Promises of Cabinet Berths and Fake News

PM Modi cautioned MPs about false promises of cabinet berths and the spread of fake news. He urged them to stay away from rumours and not fall prey to conspiracies.

"People would approach you and say that they can get you a cabinet berth...Now the technology is such that a list with my signatures can come out...I urge you that all these attempts are useless...I urge all MPs to not fall prey to these conspiracies. INDI Alliance has gathered expertise in fake news in these elections, they have a double PhD. They can use this...Stay away from rumours...The country won't run on the basis of breaking news," PM Modi said.

Commitment to Fulfilling Aspirations

PM Modi reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of 140 crore Indians.

"'Mere liye yeh janm sirf aur sirf, one life one mission, aur who hai Meri Bharat Mata. Yeh mission hai 140 crore desh wasiyo ke sapno ko poora karne ke liye khap jana' (For me, this life is only and only, one life one mission, and that is my Mother India. This mission is to fulfill the dreams of 140 crore countrymen)...I want to thank all of you for extending support to me. I will not leave any stone unturned to fulfil your expectations...," he added.
