Fast-Track Immigration For Low-Risk Travellers Extended To Five More Airports

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Fast Track Immigration–Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) at five additional airports on Thursday, including Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Kozhikode and Amritsar, according to a report in Business Today.
The programme, first introduced at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport in July 2024, has now expanded to 13 airports nationwide. It allows eligible Indian citizens and OCI cardholders to bypass regular immigration queues using e-gates for biometric authentication.
The free programme, modeled on the US Global Entry system, requires online applications at www.ftittp.mha.gov.in followed by biometric submission. Registrations remain valid for five years or until passport expiry.
The government plans expansion to 21 major airports across India.
