The Uttar Pradesh administration and temple authorities are making special arrangements for the first Ram Navmi since the consecration of Ramlalla at the Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya.

Since the expected footfall of pilgrims is 25 lakh, the darshan (visit) timings have been extended. The darshan will start at 3:30 am during the 'Brahma Muhurta' and will continue till 11 pm on 17 April.

Moreover, the curtain will be closed only for 5 minutes during the four Bhog offerings. There will be Shringar Aarti at 5 am and Surya Tilak at 12:16 pm for five minutes.

All special pass bookings for darshan and aarti etc., from 16 to 18 April have been cancelled and all devotees will need to follow the same path. Distinguished guests are requested to visit after 19 April.

Devotees are also advised not to bring their mobile phones and valuable items. The prasad will be distributed after Shayan Aarti near the Mandir exit.

Ramlalla is set to wear yellow clothes laden with gold, silver and gems. The dress is designed by Manish Tripathi. Lord Ram will also be jeweled with a golden crown.

The celebration of Shri Ram Janmotsav will be broadcasted on 80 to 100 large LED screens throughout Ayodhya city. There will also be live broadcasts on the Trust’s social media accounts.

To review arrangements, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra held a meeting on Saturday. Security personnel will be on a 24 hour duty.
