The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday (21 January) issued the second part of its manifesto for the Delhi assembly election scheduled for 5 February.

The opposition party pledged to offer complimentary education "from KG to PG" for underprivileged students in the city's government education institutions if they gain power.

The second part was issued by former Union minister and BJP member of Parliament (MP) Anurag Thakur, who promised one-time financial assistance of Rs 15,000 to the city's youth.

This amount will be for competitive examination preparation. Additionally, the party will cover the cost of travel and application fees twice.

Rs 1,000 monthly stipend has been promised for Scheduled Caste (SC) students in technical and professional courses under 'Dr B R Ambedkar Stipend Scheme'.

For auto-taxi drivers, the BJP has promised welfare board, Rs 10 lakh life insurance, Rs 5 lakh accident insurance, vehicle insurance and scholarships for their children, matching the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) promise.

Last week, the BJP unveiled the first segment of its manifesto, pledging a monthly assistance of Rs 2,500 and a sum of Rs 21,000 for each pregnant woman.

LPG cylinders at Rs 500 and free cylinders for Holi and Diwali, and a Rs 2,500 monthly pension for senior citizens were also promised.

BJP national president J P Nadda launched the party's initial manifesto, also known as 'Sankalp Patra'. He emphasised that this manifesto would lay the groundwork for a "developed Delhi".

Nadda further guaranteed that should the BJP come into power, all current public welfare programs would not only persist but their effectiveness would be enhanced by eliminating corruption.

Nadda stated that the implementation of 'Ayushman Bharat' would be approved by a BJP-led Delhi government in its initial cabinet meeting, and an additional health coverage of Rs 5 lakh would also be provided.
