From E-Buses To Tribal University: PM Modi To Launch Projects Worth Over Rs 1,140 Crore In Gujarat On 30 October

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on 30 and 31 October, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a series of major infrastructure and tourism projects worth over Rs 1,140 crore in Ekta Nagar, near the Statue of Unity.

On 30 October, the Prime Minister will travel to Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, where he will flag off electric buses around 5.15 PM, followed by the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremony for multiple development initiatives.

These projects aim to enhance tourism, promote green mobility, and strengthen local infrastructure and tribal development around the Statue of Unity.

With a cumulative investment exceeding Rs 1,140 crore, the projects reflect the government’s focus on eco-friendly tourism, smart urban planning, and sustainable growth.

Projects to be inaugurated include:

  • Birsa Munda Tribal University, Rajpipla

  • Hospitality District (Phase 1), Garudeshwar

  • Vaman Vriksha Vatika and Satpuda Protection Wall

  • E-Bus Charging Depot and 25 Electric Buses

  • Narmada Ghat Extension and Kaushalya Path

  • Walkway from Ekta Dwar to Shreshtha Bharat Bhavan (Phase 2)

  • Smart Bus Stops (Phase 2), Dam Replica Fountain, and GSEC Quarters

  • The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for upcoming attractions such as:

    • Museum of Royal Kingdoms of India

  • Veer Balak Udyan


  • Jetty Development near Shoolpaneshwar Ghat

  • Travelators at the Statue of Unity

  • During the same event, PM Modi will release a Rs 150 commemorative coin and a postal stamp marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

    On 31 October, the Prime Minister will offer floral tributes at the Statue of Unity and lead the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations, commemorating Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary.

    He will administer the Ekta Diwas pledge and witness a grand parade featuring contingents from the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, and several state police forces.

    The parade will showcase:

    • A BSF contingent with Indian-bred dogs like Rampur Hounds and Mudhol Hounds

  • Gujarat Police Horse Contingent and Assam Police Motorcycle Daredevil Show

  • BSF Camel Contingent and Camel Mounted Band

  • Gallantry awardees from CRPF and BSF will be honoured for their courage in anti-Naxal and counter-terror operations, including Operation Sindoor.

    Ten state and institutional tableaux—from Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, and others—will depict the theme “Unity in Diversity.”

    A cultural performance by 900 artists will celebrate India’s diverse heritage.

    Concluding his visit, PM Modi will interact with Officer Trainees of the 100th Common Foundation Course during Aarambh 7.0, held on the theme “Reimagining Governance.”

    The batch includes 660 officer trainees from 16 Indian civil services and 3 services from Bhutan, representing the future of public administration.
