Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 11 National Highway projects worth Rs 6,350 crore in Jharkhand on Thursday (3 July).
The events will be held across Ranchi and Garhwa districts in Jharkhand, Business Standard reported.
The major infrastructure push includes a Rs 560 crore elevated corridor in Ranchi and two significant highway projects in Garhwa valued at Rs 2,460 crore.
Gadkari will inaugurate the 4.18 km ‘Ratu Road flyover’ in Ranchi, connecting Raj Bhavan to OTC Ground, aimed at easing traffic congestion in the city.
He will also lay the foundation stone for a Rs 1,330 crore project to widen a 32 km stretch of NH 39 from the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border to Gumla.
From Ranchi, the minister will launch several other projects, including the Rs 1,900-crore Palma-Gumla four-lane highway, Rs 825-crore Barhi-Koderma stretch, Rs 100-crore project in Godda, Rs 70-crore Barahat-Tulsipur link, and a Rs 20-crore project in Giridih.
In addition to roadways, the minister will lay the foundation for multiple bridges across Jharkhand, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and reducing travel time.
