Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (14 September) announced that the government is preparing to launch a “demography mission” to counter the premeditated conspiracy to alter India’s border demography through infiltration, reported The New Indian Express.

Addressing a rally in Mangaldoi, Assam's Darrang, PM Modi described infiltration as a serious danger to national security.

A demographic mission has begun in the country, and the BJP government's purpose is to save and eliminate infiltrators, he stated.

The Prime Minister accused the Congress of shielding and protecting infiltrators.

“Those protecting the infiltrators will suffer. Mark my words. The country will not pardon them,” he warned.

PM Modi said that when in power, Congress supported infiltration and allowed land encroachment.

He praised Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for reclaiming land from illegal settlers.

Criticising Congress for siding with anti-India forces, Modi referred to Operation Sindoor. “Today, our forces uprooted the kingpins of terrorism during Operation Sindoor, but Congress, instead of standing by the Indian military, stood by the Pakistani military,” he said.

He also accused Congress of making depreciating comments against Assam's cultural icon, Bhupen Hazarika.

“When the Government of India conferred Bharat Ratna to Bhupen Hazarika, the Congress President said Modi gives Bharat Ratna to dancers and singers,” PM Modi said.

“How much you abuse me, I am a devotee of Lord Shiva, I swallow all poison. When someone is insulted, I cannot tolerate,” he added.
