Gurugram Set For Major Infrastructure Changes With Toll Relocation And Road Upgrades Ahead Of Monsoon

In a significant development for Gurugram’s long-pending infrastructure demands, the relocation of the Kherki Daula toll plaza to Panchgaon has received final approval and is slated for completion within the next three months, the Times of India reported.
The announcement was made during the first district coordination meeting held at the mini secretariat and chaired by Haryana’s Principal Adviser for Urban Development, DS Dhesi.
Senior officials including GMDA CEO Shyamal Misra, Divisional Commissioner RC Bidhan, and Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar were in attendance.
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) representatives confirmed that an in-principle nod had been given, and a preliminary survey was completed last week.
“IHMCL will be undertaking the technical aspect, while we will carry out the civil construction of the toll plaza once we get the administrative approval for the same,” an NHAI official was quoted as saying in the ToI report.
A new flyover at Dadi Sati Chowk is in the proposal stage, with a detailed project report currently being prepared.
Monsoon preparedness was also reviewed. A flood control centre is being set up, desilting works are ongoing, and mock drills have been held across underpasses.
Additionally, GMDA is building an unlined drain to connect with the Badshahpur drain, while NHAI has been asked to expedite culvert cleaning on NH-48.
