Haryana secured investment commitments worth Rs 3,000 crore from Japanese firms Kubota Corporation and Daikin Industries during Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's official visit to Osaka.

Kubota announced a Rs 2,000 crore investment in collaboration with Escorts, whilst a memorandum of understanding was signed with Daikin for a Rs 1,000 crore research and development centre.

The state government described it as a significant boost to industrial and agricultural development.

Saini visited the Kubota Tractor Plant in Osaka on Wednesday and held detailed discussions with senior company officials on potential investments and technical collaboration opportunities in agricultural equipment manufacturing.

The Kubota Corporation investment, in partnership with Escorts, will focus on tractors and agricultural equipment manufacturing. The investment will bring modern agricultural technology to the state and create numerous employment opportunities for local youth.

Japanese conglomerate Daikin will invest Rs 1,000 crore to set up a research and development centre focusing on advanced technologies and sustainable industrial solutions, with an MoU signed in Osaka in the presence of Chief Minister Saini.

The high-level delegation, on an official visit to the country, included Haryana's Minister of Industries and Commerce Rao Narbir Singh and other senior officials.

The Chief Minister said these collaborations reaffirm Haryana's position as a preferred investment destination and strengthen its longstanding industrial partnership with Japan.

The partnership will help establish Haryana as a 'Global Innovation Destination', the state government stated.
