Haryana’s Aravalli Jungle Safari Project To Begin With Construction Of Phase One In 2,500 Acres

Haryana Forest and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh announced on Friday (18 July) that the work on the first phase of the 10,000-acre jungle safari project in the Aravalis will begin shortly, reported The Hindu.

Speaking after a meeting in Delhi with Union Power and Housing Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, Singh said the project will include world-class facilities and be completed in four phases.

Calling the initiative a major step toward ecological development, Singh said, the project would give a new identity to the National Capital Region in the direction of green and sustainable environment.

He further noted that 2,500 acres will be developed in the initial phase to promote green tourism and wildlife conservation.

The jungle safari, spread across Gurugram and Nuh districts in Haryana, was a key promise in the BJP’s manifesto last year.
