Home Minister Amit Shah Sets ‘Mission-225 Plus’ Target For NDA In Bihar Assembly Elections

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has set an ambitious target of ‘Mission-225 Plus’ for the NDA in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, aiming to secure a sweeping majority in the 243-seat assembly, Economic Times reported.

During his one-and-a-half-day visit to the poll-bound state, Shah held closed-door strategy meetings with BJP leaders, outlining a six-month roadmap to bolster the party’s electoral prospects.

Shah emphasised the need to increase voter turnout by replicating the Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra model.

Citing examples, he noted that the BJP never had more than 23 per cent votes in some regions of MP and around 21 per cent votes in some areas of Maharashtra.

But it identified the weak booths and worked on it to turn the tide in its favour.

Seat-sharing negotiations within the NDA alliance will be finalised in coordination with top leadership, he assured party members, urging them to work in tandem with allies to consolidate their position.

As part of his visit, Shah attended a cooperative ministry programme in Patna alongside Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, where he unveiled projects worth Rs 823 crore.

Later, addressing a public gathering in Gopalganj, he pledged a flood-free Bihar within five years, a promise aimed at addressing one of the state’s longstanding infrastructural challenges.
