The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is preparing for one of its most prominent outreach exercises in recent years as chief Mohan Bhagwat begins a three-day lecture series on Tuesday (26 August).
The event promises to bring together a strikingly diverse gathering of leaders from the judiciary, armed forces, culture, sport and international diplomacy.
According to a News18 report, among the confirmed attendees are former Army Chief General MM Naravane, ex-Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, General JJ Singh, Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria, former CJI JS Kehar and senior diplomat Kawal Sibal.
Sporting figures such as cricket legend Kapil Dev and Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra will also be present, alongside cultural names including actor Manoj Joshi, sculptor Ram V Sutar and the Dagar Bandhu.
Diplomatic representation is expected from the United States, China, Nepal, Australia, South Africa, Kazakhstan and several other countries.
The gathering is intended not only as a forum for ideological discussion but also as an opportunity for dialogue with thought leaders, policymakers and international representatives.
Bhagwat’s earlier lectures have explored themes such as nationalism, social cohesion, national identity and the Sangh’s vision for a “New India”. This edition, however, marks a broader outreach, engaging both domestic influencers and foreign stakeholders.
The RSS would complete its centenary on Vijayadashami this year and a series of events are planned across the country to commemorate the occasion.
