INDI Alliance Becomes Non-Existent In Delhi As Congress And AAP To Contest Assembly Elections Independently: Report

While no official announcement has been made regarding calling off the INDI Alliance in Delhi, leaders of the Congress party have indicated so by blaming Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders for the Lok Sabha loss.

The INDI Alliance could not win any seat in Delhi where AAP contested four and Congress contested three seats. All seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

All three Congress candidates — J P Agarwal (Chandni Chowk), Udit Raj (North-West Delhi) and Kanhaiya Kumar (North-East Delhi) — have blamed the AAP for their losses, party sources told Indian Express

Now a report of the fact-finding team over losses will be submitted to Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge and any decision regarding alliance can be taken after that.

Now Congress plans to unseat him by holding protests on the issues of flooding. "We want to act as a worthy Opposition," said Anil Bharadwaj, chairman of the Delhi Congress' communication department.

Already, the Delhi Congress has attacked the AAP government over water crisis and infrastructure issues. Various Congress leaders have also accused AAP of corruption.

The party has also begun organising meetings to consolidate its workers, especially in those Lok Sabha constituencies, where AAP contested. A worker's convention was held in Mehrauli.

Another one is planned in Badarpur on 14 July. However, at the municipal level, the Congress will support AAP for Delhi mayor's post to defeat the BJP candidate.
