Indian Air Force Jaguar Fighter Jet Crashes In Rajasthan's Churu; Pilot Killed: Report

An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar fighter aircraft crashed near Banoda village in Rajasthan’s Churu district around 1.25 pm on Wednesday (9 July), the Hindustan Times reported.
The pilot of the aircraft was reportedly killed in the crash.
According to SHO Kamlessh of Rajaldesar police station, the jet went down in an agricultural field in Bhanoda village, news agency PTI reported.
Initial reports from the crash site indicate that human body parts were found scattered around the wreckage, raising fears that the pilots may not have survived.
Rescue teams and officials rushed to the scene, and further details are awaited as investigation and recovery operations are currently underway.
The incident adds to a series of fighter jet crashes involving the IAF in recent months.
According to the IAF, the pilots experienced a mid-flight technical malfunction and ejected to avoid damage to the airfield and surrounding areas.
Tragically, one of the pilots, Siddharth Yadav, later succumbed to injuries, while the other sustained injuries.
A month earlier, in March, an IAF fighter jet crashed in Haryana’s Panchkula district during a routine training sortie.
The Air Force stated that the pilot was able to steer the aircraft away from populated areas on the ground before ejecting safely.
