Indian Forces To Go To All Patrolling Points In Ladakh's Depsang And Eastward Limit: Jaishankar Tells Parliament

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday (13 December) assured the Lok Sabha that Indian security forces will continue patrolling all patrolling points in Depsang, Ladakh, and the established eastward limits, which have historically marked India’s patrolling boundaries.

During the Question Hour, Jaishankar highlighted that the final phase of disengagement talks with China pertained to the sensitive areas of Depsang and Demchok.

On Bangladesh, Jaishankar expressed optimism about fostering a mutually beneficial and stable relationship between the two countries.

On relations with Pakistan, the minister reiterated India’s preference for constructive ties. "The ball is in Pakistan's court," he said, referring to the strained relations.

Addressing trade ties, he explained, "Regarding trade, I think some of the disruptions...happened because of decisions by...Pakistan in 2019... We have an agnostic position on this."
