An IndiGo flight (6E2706) from Kochi to Delhi made an emergency landing at Nagpur airport after authorities received a bomb threat. The flight departed Kochi at 9.20 AM, with a scheduled arrival in Delhi at 12.35 PM, reported India Today.

Passengers safely deplaned in Nagpur, and an investigation into the threat is now underway. Sources at Kochi airport confirmed that the Delhi-bound IndiGo flight received a bomb threat on Tuesday morning (17 June), specifically mentioning the flight number.

Airport officials convened a meeting, following standard procedure. They determined the threat was specific because the flight number was provided. Since the flight had already departed Kochi, authorities diverted it to Nagpur.

Additionally, on Monday evening (16 June), another Delhi-bound Air India flight returned to Hong Kong approximately 90 minutes after takeoff due to a suspected technical glitch.

On Sunday evening (15 June), a Lufthansa flight to Hyderabad returned to Frankfurt after Hyderabad airport received a bomb threat email. The flight had not yet entered Indian airspace when the airport received the threat.

Security and concern regarding flights have heightened since an Air India London-bound flight crashed on 12 June, moments after taking off from Ahmedabad.
