Indore Infra Push: IDA Approves Appointment Of Consultants For Feasibility Studies On Elevated Corridor, Flyovers

The Indore Development Authority (IDA) has unveiled ambitious plans to improve the city’s infrastructure, including the construction of an elevated corridor from Malwa Mill Square to Bhamori (near Wow Hotel), as well as flyovers at Rasoma Square and Robot Square, Times of India reported.

These proposals were approved during a board meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh on Wednesday (5 January)

In the meeting, the IDA board green-lit the appointment of consultants to conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed project reports for the elevated corridor and flyovers.

The board also approved the selection of a consultant from its panel of architects to devise a plan for creating an urban forest in Scheme Number 97.

Further decisions included approving recommendations for transaction advisor for the maintenance and operation of the Senior Citizen Building in Scheme Number 134, as well as for the Inter-State Bus Terminals in Schemes 139 and 169-A.


The meeting also featured a revised design proposal for the Startup Park in Scheme Number 151 on the Super Corridor, with plans to develop the park under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.

Additionally, the board reviewed a consultant's presentation for a convention centre to be built on a 17-hectare plot in Scheme Number 172, with a decision on this project expected soon.

The board approved land allotments for an Agromart and a government gas agency office, with respective areas of 2000 sq m and 5000 sq m.

Furthermore, a project management consultant will be appointed for road construction work in TPS Scheme Number 4.
