Jio Platforms has collaborated with AMD, Cisco, and Nokia, all proprietary technology firms, to develop an Open Telecom AI Platform. This platform is anticipated to improve network security and efficiency, as well as decrease technology expenses.

The joint statement released on Tuesday (4 March) revealed that the multi-domain intelligence framework is set to incorporate AI and automation into every aspect of network operations, The Hindu reported.

"In collaboration with AMD, Cisco, and Nokia, Jio is advancing the Open Telecom AI Platform to transform networks into self-optimising, customer-aware ecosystems. This initiative goes beyond automation -- it's about enabling AI-driven, autonomous networks that adapt in real time, enhance user experiences, and create new service and revenue opportunities across the digital ecosystem," Group CEO of Reliance Jio Mathew Oommen was quoted as saying.

The statement mentioned that the AI platform will function as a substantial language model, acting as an AI search engine, and will remain impartial. It will employ an open application interface to enhance its operational efficiency and abilities.

"The Telecom AI Platform will help Jio to optimise and monetise their network investments through enhanced performance, security, operational efficiency, automation and greatly improved customer experience, all via the immense power of artificial intelligence," he was quoted as saying.

Jio Platforms, AMD, Cisco, and Nokia have plans to construct a new Open Telecom AI Platform, with Jio being the inaugural customer. This collaboration aims to establish a deployable solution and a replicable reference architecture for the wider global service provider sector.

Lisa Su, the Chair and CEO of AMD, announced that the company plans to utilise its collection of high-performance CPUs, GPUs, and adaptive computing solutions for their platform.

Chuck Robbins, the Chair and CEO of Cisco, stated that their partnership with Jio Platforms Ltd, AMD, and Nokia leverages the proficiency of these industry leaders to transform networks through the use of AI.
