On Friday (15 December), the Supreme Court declined to halt the appointment of a commission tasked with surveying Shahi Idgah in Mathura near Krishna Janmabhoomi, asserting its decision not to intervene in the matter.

The court directed the concerned parties to approach it only in the event of an adverse order. Emphasising that the Allahabad High Court should address the survey's modalities on 18 December, the Supreme Court asserted that parties could approach it if an unfavorable order is issued.

He affirmed, "The High Court order will persist, and the matter will proceed without a stay from the Supreme Court." This means an advocate commisioner panel is set to be formed for Shahi Idgah's survey.
