Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Uttar Pradesh on Friday (13 December) to review development works for the upcoming Mahakumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj.
During his visit, he will also launch a slew of projects aimed at enhancing the infrastructure and connectivity of Prayagraj.
The Prime Minister will perform religious rituals at significant sites, including Sangam Nose, Akshay Vata Vriksh, Hanuman Mandir, and Saraswati Koop.
These ceremonies will be followed by a walkthrough of the Mahakumbh exhibition site at 1.30 pm.
The highlight of PM Modi's visit will be the inauguration and launch of development initiatives worth over Rs 6,670 crore for the Prayagraj Mahakumbh.
A key focus will be on projects aligned with the "Swachh and Nirmal Ganga" initiative, ensuring zero discharge of untreated water into the river through modernised drainage systems.
Additionally, PM Modi will unveil major temple corridors, including the Bharadwaj Ashram corridor, Shringverpur Dham corridor, Akshayvat corridor, and Hanuman Mandir corridor, which are expected to ease access for devotees and boost spiritual tourism.
Drinking water and power infrastructure projects will also be inaugurated as part of the comprehensive development plan.
In a move toward technological innovation, the Prime Minister will launch the Kumbh Sah’AI’yak chatbot to assist devotees with event updates and guidance for Mahakumbh Mela 2025.
