A migrant worker from Bihar was reportedly murdered by terrorists in the Shopian district of south Kashmir.

The locals found the body with wounds on the roadside on Friday morning, India Today reported.

He was immediately shifted to a nearby district hospital.

Indian Army personnel, along with Jammu and Kashmir Police, reached the location and initiated a probe into the incident.

This incident took place only two days after Omar Abdullah, leader of the National Conference (NC), was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

In April, two other migrant workers were killed by terrorists.

Earlier in October, an Indian Army soldier was found dead with gunshot wounds after being abducted by terrorists in J&K's Anantnag district.

Two soldiers from the 161unit of the Territorial Army were abducted from the forest area in Anantnag during a joint anti-terror operation carried out by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police on 8 October.

However, one of the soldiers managed to escape despite sustaining two bullet wounds.
