NDA And INDI Alliance To Hold Crucial Meetings In Delhi: Government Formation Strategies And Future Plans In Focus

The BJP-led NDA and the opposition INDI Alliance are set to hold separate meetings in the national capital today to discuss their future strategy.
Senior leaders of the NDA, including TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and JDU chief Nitish Kumar, are likely to meet on Wednesday to take stock of the Lok Sabha poll results and deliberate on the details of government formation.
In the meeting, set to be attended by Kumar and Naidu, top leaders of the BJP and its other allies are also expected to be present.
The BJP has emerged as the single largest party in 2024 Lok Sabha polls but fell short of securing the majority mark of 272.
In the meeting, the NDA leaders are expected to congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is set for a record-equalling third term at the helm, and discuss with him the details of the new government, which is likely to be different in composition and character with a bigger share for the BJP’s allies.
Meanwhile, members of the INDI Alliance will convene a meeting to deliberate on strategies for the far-fetched possibility of forming a government at the centre, despite currently being way short of the required numbers.
Several leaders of the top political parties, including NCP’s Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray will arrive in the national capital for the INDI Alliance meeting.
