Nearly 40 Per Cent Voter Turnout Till 1 PM In Sixth Phase Of Lok Sabha Elections; West Bengal Leads With Over 50 Per Cent Polling

The sixth phase of the voting for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is ongoing across 58 Parliamentary constituencies in eight states and UTs on Saturday (25 May).

A total of 58 Lok Sabha constituencies, including 14 in Uttar Pradesh, 10 in Haryana, eight each in West Bengal and Bihar, seven in Delhi, six in Odisha, four in Jharkhand, and one in Jammu and Kashmir, are undergoing polls in this phase.

As of 1.00 pm, 39.13 per cent voter turnout was recorded across eight states and UTs participating in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, according to the latest Election Commission data.

In Bihar, the voter participation stands at 36.48 per cent, while Haryana recorded a turnout of 36.48 per cent.


In Delhi, 34.37 per cent voters have cast their votes, while in Odisha, 35.69 per cent voter participation was recorded.

Uttar Pradesh reported a turnout of 37.23 per cent, while West Bengal saw a voter turnout of 54.80 per cent till 1.00 pm.
