The Noida Authority has completed construction of the 5.5-km Bhangel elevated road over the Dadri-Surajpur-Chhalera corridor, linking Vikas Marg in Noida’s Sector 51 to the Noida Special Economic Zone (NSEZ), the Indian Express reported.
Built at a cost of Rs 608 crore, the multi-point elevated structure is designed to significantly improve traffic flow between Noida and Greater Noida.
The project, launched in June 2020, was initially scheduled for completion by December 2022 but has been delayed by over two years.
Once operational, it is expected to drastically cut travel times for commuters between Greater Noida’s residential and industrial hubs and Noida’s commercial sectors.

The Authority is also advancing several other transport infrastructure initiatives. The 5.54-km Chilla Elevated Road, targeted for completion by December 2027, will connect Mayur Vihar to Akshardham via Noida Sector 14.
Additionally, an 11.56-km Metro corridor from Noida Sector 142 to Greater Noida West, featuring eight stations, has secured state approval and awaits clearance from the Centre.
Another proposed 17.4-km Metro link between Noida Sector 51 and Greater Noida’s Knowledge Park, with 11 stations, is also pending central approval.
Complementing these major projects, the Authority is planning urban amenities such as walking tracks, parking zones, cycling paths and food vending areas at key commercial locations including Noida Sector 18, GIP Mall and Botanical Garden.
With the Bhangel elevated road now complete, Noida’s transport network is set for a major capacity boost, supported by a pipeline of large-scale road and Metro projects aimed at easing congestion and improving connectivity across the city and its adjoining urban centres.
