'Not Wrong To Hold Palestine Flag': Karnataka Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, Accuses BJP Of Creating Hindu-Muslim Divide

Karnataka's Housing Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan has accused the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of adding fuel to the violence that happened in the Mandya district during Ganesh Utsav.

He also defended holding the Palestine flag by saying that since India has supported Palestine, there is nothing wrong with holding its flag publicly.

Notably, India believes in a two-state solution where it supports both Palestine and Israel and maintains diplomatic ties with both countries.

However, Khan's remarks come in light of Palestinian flags raised during the Milad-ul-Nabi procession in three cities of Karnataka, Chitradurga, Davanagere and Kolar.

The Karnataka Police seized some of the Palestinian flags while registering the First Information Report (FIR) against those who tried to create communal tension.

Khan also accused the BJP of creating a Hindu-Muslim divide for electoral gains and claimed that on the contrary, Congress seeks votes on the basis of development.

However, many development projects are known to have been stalled in the state due to lack of funds as the Congress government is spending money to fulfill its freebie promises.
