"Only One Family Is...": PM Modi On Why 'Everyone' Is Leaving Congress

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (16 February) attacked Congress, saying that everyone is leaving the party and only one family is visible in it.

PM Modi's attack on Congress comes as several prominent leaders have left the party in the last one month and joined BJP or it NDA allies, including Milind Deora, Baba Siddique and Ashok Chavan.

Virtually addressing an event, 'Viksit Bharat, Viksit Rajasthan', in Jaipur, PM Modi said that the sole agenda of the Congress is to oppose him.

"You have recently taught a lesson to the Congress [in Rajasthan elections]. However, they do not acknowledge it. Even today, their only agenda is to criticise Modi. The more someone can criticise Modi, the more the Congress embraces them. They don't even talk about 'Viksit Bhaart' (Developed India) because Modi is working for it," he said.

"Congress has only one agenda - opposing Modi, intense opposition to Modi," he added.

"In their opposition to Modi, they spread such things that divide society. When a party gets trapped in the vicious cycle of dynasty and nepotism, this is what happens with it. Today, everyone is leaving the Congress, only one family is visible there," PM Modi said.

PM Modi further said that such politics does not inspire young India at all, especially the first-time voter of the country, who have big dreams, high aspirations and stand with the vision of a developed India.
