In a bizarre turn of events, Paraguay's Chief of Staff for the Agriculture Ministry, Arnaldo Chamorro, has been replaced after it was revealed that he signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with representatives from the fictional country, the United States of Kailasa, associated with the fugitive Indian guru Nithyananda.

The revelation has caused a scandal and led to widespread social media mockery.

The MoU, signed on 16 October, expressed a wish for Paraguay to consider diplomatic relations with Kailasa and support its recognition as a sovereign state in international organizations, including the United Nations.

However, he confessed to not knowing the location of Kailasa.

This isn't the first time Kailasa representatives have deceived international leaders.

Earlier this year, they participated in a UN committee meeting in Geneva and signed agreements in the United States and Canada.
