PM launched key energy projects in Visakhapatnam.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on Saturday (20 September) to unveil and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth over Rs 34,200 crore, spanning maritime, energy, transport, healthcare, and urban infrastructure, the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.
At Bhavnagar, he will participate in the ‘Samudra se Samriddhi’ event, inaugurating and launching maritime projects valued at Rs 7,870 crore.
In Gujarat, projects worth Rs 26,354 crore will focus on LNG, renewable energy, transport, and social infrastructure.
Key inaugurations include the HPLNG Regasification Terminal at Chhara Port, Acrylics & Oxo Alcohol Project at IOCL Gujarat, the 600 MW Green Shoe Initiative, PM-KUSUM’s 475 MW solar feeder for farmers, the 45 MW Badeli Solar PV Project, and full solarisation of Dhordo village.
Healthcare upgrades at Sir T General Hospital (Bhavnagar) and Guru Govind Sinh Hospital (Jamnagar), along with four-laning of 70 km of national highways, are also planned.
Later, he will review the National Maritime Heritage Complex at Lothal, being developed for about Rs 4,500 crore to showcase India’s maritime legacy and promote tourism, research, and skill development.
He will also inaugurate the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal, a new container terminal at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port (Kolkata), upgraded facilities at Paradip Port, the Tuna Tekra Multi-Cargo Terminal, coastal protection works at Chennai and Car Nicobar, a multi-purpose berth and bio-methanol plant at Deendayal Port, and ship-repair units at Patna and Varanasi.
